Method
- Preheat the oven to 160 oC. Line a loaf tin with baking paper.
- Heat the apple, apple juice, honey and dates in the microwave until just simmering. Allow to cool.
- Combine the pecans, flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
- Add the cooled fruit mixture and mix until just combined.
- Pour into the baking tin and bake for an hour.
- Served sliced thickly and spread with butter.
For variations, replace the pecans with walnuts and pears instead of apples. |
