Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients
500g mince
1 chopped onion
salt and pepper to taste
2 to 3 potatoes, diced
butter to taste


1 carrot, grated
½ capsicum, diced
1 tomato, chopped
     (or ½ can chopped tomatoes)
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
2 tbs gravox

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 C. Spray a medium saucepan and a deep casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. Boil the potatoes until soft and mash. Add butter if desired.
  3. Brown the mince, and then add the onion, stirring until the onion goes transparent.
  4. Turn down the heat, and add the carrot and capsicum, then the tomato. Stir occasionally.
  5. Remove the meat from the heat, and quickly mix in the sauce and gravox.
  6. Reheat and stir until thickened.
  7. Spread the meat mixture evenly into the casserole dish, and mound the mashed potato over the meat.
  8. Bake for ½ hour until the mash is beginning to brown.
